Throughout October, our Senior Researcher, Tyson Lee Holmes, visited some of Gibraltar's school's to introduce students to the fascinating world of bats. The talks explored bats as an extraordinary order of mammals, their remarkable diversity and ecologies worldwide, and the seven species found right here in Gibraltar.
These sessions formed part of Bat Appreciation Month, helping young learners understand the ecological importance of bats and why they deserve our protection. And what better day to share these moments than Halloween, when bats are especially in the spotlight!
